Top Five Most Underrated European Cities You Should Visit Now

Europe is a beautiful continent, and every traveller knows about Paris, Milan, and London. However, there’s so much more to see. If you’re off to an adventure in this part of the world soon, check out these underrated European cities. Here’s a rundown of the top five.

1. Granada, Spain: When it comes to Spain, Madrid and Barcelona first come to mind – but Granada takes the spotlight this time around. It can be found within Andalucia, and this is where you’ll find Alhambra, a Moorish palace and citadel. If you like history and rich culture, then this is where you should go.

2. Split, Croatia: This is another history and cultural rich city with the added bonus of a gorgeous seaside. According to Huffington Post, it is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Diocletian’s Palace. It’s also filled with bars, shopping areas, and restaurants fit for any taste.

3. Budapest, Hungary: This city is also called the “Paris of the East.” Paste Magazine says that its citizens are very proud of this city, and it’s a perfect mix of youth and preserved culture. The atmosphere here is quite youthful, but you can still be able to see people jamming to classical tunes.

4. Lagos, Portugal: This rather obscure part of the continent might be your new favorite destination if you’re a fan of the nightlife. It has a beautiful coastline, and you’ll be in awe of the 14th century fortresses that adorn this quaint city.

5. Rhodes Town, Greece: Santorini isn’t the only part of Greece where you’ll see blue seas. Mandraki Harbour remains to be a must-visit, but you can enjoy the sights of ancient streets, Roman ruins, and medieval castles.

Culture and history is overflowing in this part of the world, that’s why you shouldn’t be afraid of going off the grid when it comes to a European adventure! Remember, it’s the memories you make wherever you may be that matters. More info
